Recessive Red and Yellow many times "mask" or cover up other colors. This is the reason you may get other colors from a Recessive Red and Recessive Reds/Yellows from pairs that visually do not show Recessive Red or Yellow.
In Modenas there exists a color known as Gold which is, visually, somewhere between Recessive red and Yellow. Genetically, Gold is Pale Recessive Red.
