Faded

Faded sometimes has only a subtle affect on ground color. It is possible to have a darker expression of Faded that will look almost exactly like the base color it is on. Pure, or Homozygous, Faded cocks will always be lighter than impure, or Heterozygous, Faded cocks.
Auto-sexed Texas Pioneers are all Faded.

The above two pics are of the same bird. It is a Faded Black. The top picture is the juvenile feather, the bottom is the adult plumage.

The following pics are a wonderful illustration of the drastic change that occurs from squeaker to adult plumage in a Faded Black cock bird. The pics are in order based on the age of the bird to show the change as it happened. All pictures are of the same bird.
