Grizzle has a very large array of effects.

Tortoiseshell, commonly called Tort, are visually different from normal Grizzles in that nearly all Torts show Reddish or Bronze coloring. Note the difference between the Torts pictured below and the classic Blue Grizzles pictured above.

Dark Tort Roller hen Some Torts can be very dark and show only grizzling in the breast area. Mottles are a type of Grizzle that appear on Spread birds such as Black, Recessive Red, Dun, etc. Many Mottles start out as solid colored birds and moult in White later in life. Mottles can be anywhere from a solid colored bird with just a few White feathers to a nearly White bird with just a few colored feathers.
