Red Bar Fantail cock A little about me: I have had pigeons since I was 12, shortly after I lost my dad to cancer. Ever since then, I have had pigeons. This hobby kept me home and off the streets as a teenager. Now, over 25 years later, I have a truly wonderful wife and three beautiful daughters. Although they can be a handful at times, I know they are truly a blessing from the Lord. I am the Preschool Director/Teacher for Little Lambs Christian Preschool and am working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I also like to write short stories. I once passed up an opportunity to be the drummer in a successful local band (Thought you just had to know that one!). I have heard it said that if you want to hear God laugh, tell Him your plans.

I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful hobby. I can think of no other hobby that provides the same degree of fulfillment. Being able to mate birds up a certain way and see the results of your work in a living, breathing creature is really something. Sometimes a mating works, sometimes it doesn't, but it is always fun. This hobby has taught me responsibility, compassion, and the wonders of life itself among many other things. When I'm banding babies, I'm like a kid in a candy store! There is so much about these birds that simply boggle my mind. The diversity in pigeons itself is unbelievable. I love this hobby and will do my part to positively promote it.
